Appeal an Amazon Suspension and Reactivate Amazon Seller Account

If your account has been deactivated or your listings have been removed, you can appeal for their reinstatement and reactivate your Amazon Seller Account or Listing by following the steps below.  If your Amazon account is suspended, how to get it back can be complicated.  Creating your own Amazon Plan of Action (POA) can be a harrowing experience.   To succeed with your plan of action you must identify and resolve the issue that caused your account to be deactivated in the first place.  We study the points of your account, such as seller performance, customer feedback and your performance notifications to ascertain the correct root causes of your suspension, so your Amazon plan of action is written clearly and correctly.  The Amazon appeal process can take a long time, so it is important to make your first POA clear, concise and relevant.
An Amazon suspension can be devastating to a business and the employees and families who depend on it.  Amazon seller accounts are suspended every day for a number of reasons.  If Amazon has suspended your seller account, here is the procedure to follow to reinstate it as soon as possible:

1.  Do not appeal right away!
Many Amazon sellers make the mistake of hitting the appeal button right away.  Others make the mistake of asking for more detail.   This is not the way to reinstate your Amazon suspended account.  Asking for more detail is a waste of an appeal, because every communication you have with Amazon after a suspension is considered to be an appeal.   Other sellers make the mistake of responding with emotion or anger.   Firing off an impulsive response to an Amazon seller suspension is not going to help you get your account reinstated.

2.  Investigate the reasons behind the suspension.
Right or wrong, Amazon has suspended your account because they think you have violated their policies.  One of the most important things to do is to investigate the reasons behind the issue.  Check your records, question your employees, examine your reviews and customer feedback, so you can pinpoint the root cause of the deactivation of your account.  Arrange a call with an Amazon Account Health representative, who may be able to give you more information on the particulars of your suspension.

3.  Do not submit a generic plan of action
Your plan of action must be in Amazon's format, but Amazon's Seller Performance Team will spot a template right away.  Don't use an Amazon appeal letter you purchase from an appeal service for something as important as the welfare of your business.  You must, in your plan of action, identify the root causes of the issue, specify the actions you have taken to resolve the issue, and put into place business practices to assure Amazon that this type of policy violation will not occur in the future.  Both the corrective measures and the steps taken to prevent future policy violations must specifically relate to the root cause of the suspension in your particular case.  It is best to hire a professional who knows how to investigate your suspension and articulate these in a brief, professional manner.

4.  Submit your appeal correctly.
Amazon has recently changed their appeal submission process.  Seller Performance will no longer accept appeals by email.  Read the suspension notice carefully to determine how to submit your appeal.  Some appeals have an appeal button under the suspension notice in the performance notifications dropdown menu.  Others must be submitted through the appeal button in account health.  Still others must be submitted through the "contact us" feature in Seller Central and go through Amazon Seller Support.
